Hi, I'm Nate Waddoups
I’m an associate professor in the business school at the University of Denver. I received my PhD from the University of South Carolina.
I study and publish research on human performance. I am dedicated to helping others overcome human performance plateaus.
What is a human performance plateau?
It's when you start something and make great progress, but then you stop improving despite your continued efforts.
Research on human performance plateaus suggests they are very common and they can happen in all areas of life--e.g., physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and your career.
The good news is the research suggests that in almost all cases we have not reached our true potential! We are at a false plateau, not our maximum capability. This means there are exciting accomplishments ahead and further progress to be achieved.
I have spent countless hours reading about how to overcome plateaus. I also do surveys and perform experiments (in a lab!) to provide insights about overcoming plateaus. This website will share my insights.
I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything. I'm learning and I run into my own plateaus. I'll share my experiences encountering and hopefully overcoming plateaus.
